If there’s one thing you shouldn’t miss out on at Grey Goose Game Lodge, it’s casting a line in our beautiful dam. Bass swim in these waters, but even if nothing bites, it’s a prime opportunity to head outdoors. Rally the kids, and get Grandpa and Grandma involved, too!
Battlefields History...
Newcastle is a sunny and warm place and is significant as an excellent stopover on the Battlefield Route which works its way around the midlands in KwaZulu-Natal. The route is a comprehensive guide to battles and events that have characterised this part of the country. Deeply involved in the Anglo-Boer War, Newcaslte has a number of battlefield sites including Laings Nek, Majuba and Schuinshoogte.
A Plunge Pool...
This one is for kids and parents alike! Take a plunge into our swimming pool and enjoy the tranquility of our Lodge while floating about. Kids can be seen jumping and playing, our furry residents (our rabbits) are hopping about and our friendly waiters have just delivered your ice cold cocktail to your table near the pool. The smell of our wood fired pizza oven lingers and in the far distance, herds of game are seen running about. What a way to spend the day!
