Our Venues
Chapel over the dam
This venue offers the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos. The sunset over the Drakensberg Mountains in the far back met with the ripples on the dam water as it reflects the clouds hovering above you truly creates for a magnificent ceremony. Herds of game can often be seen treading their way through the adjacent valley.
This venue brings new meaning to the word “breathtaking”.
Even though this venue is perfect for weddings, it can also be used for small, intimate functions and even proposals, anniversaries and picnics. Our chapel can seat up to 100 guests.
Gazebo
Location, location, location.. that is what this venue is all about! Conveniently located in the center of our Kiddies entertainment zone, our Gazebo venue is ideal for smaller functions such as kiddies parties, baby showers, year-end functions, team building and much more.
Our Gazebo was recently renovated and is a stone’s throw from our swimming pool, allowing parents to keep a close eye on their kids.

Iyakhala
We like to refer to our Iyakhala venue as the heart of our Lodge. This is not only due to it being located right over our dam, but also due to the indescribably gorgeous views that surround it.
This venue is built over our dam and has glass sliding doors that open up to all the beauty that nature has to offer.
Iyakhala faces the Drakensberg Mountains and overlooks the dam and adjacent valley.
The sunset over the Drakensberg Mountain is a complete showstopper, ensuring that your guests will be in absolute awe of how beautiful your chosen venue is!
This venue, accommodating 120 guests, is fitted with a small kitchen, is fully air-conditioned, boasts its own private bathrooms and a fully functional bar.
Main Hall
Our Main Hall is larger than life and can comfortably accommodate 350 guests with a dance floor in the venue. This venue boasts a stylish, rustic ambiance with handmade solid wooden “barn” doors, with unique oversized hinges opening towards the patios, exposing our landscaped gardens. Extra large windows face the breathtaking Drakensberg Mountains, greenery and valley adjacent to the venue.
Hand made, rustic chandeliers give the hall a warm ambience. This venue is fitted with a fully functional bar, extra large bathrooms and private foyer.
This venue is air-conditioned and its 3 beautiful fireplaces catch your eye.
Garden Dome
The ideal intimate outdoor venue with unmatched views.
This venue is conveniently located nearby our Main Hall venue and serves as the perfect matrimonial venue for weddings. It can be draped according to your preferences or left entirely as it is for some rustic charm. Your guests will enjoy views of the Drakensberg Mountains, Game roaming in the valley and gorgeous lush lawns.

Conference Room
Whether it’s your company’s corporate conference or an intimate, top-level event, Grey Goose Game Lodge will host it in style and with absolute attention to detail. Teambuilding, conflict resolution, group dynamics or simply good old-fashioned fun – Connect with your colleagues at Grey Goose, an exclusive and recently renovated, modern farm style venue that is a stone throw from Newcastle, yet totally in touch with corporate South Africa’s conferencing requirements.
Our conference room is fully air-conditioned and can accommodate up to 50 guests.
Breakfast Room
Contrary to it’s name, this venue is perfect for many occasions. Be it conferences, birthday parties, baby showers, team building or even intimate birthday dinners.
This venue features big windows that look out onto our lush, landscaped gardens. The subtle sound of water trinkling into our fish pond adjacent to the venue creates a homely, nature-oriented ambiance.
This venue can comfortably accommodate up to 80 guests and is fully air-conditioned.
